Holding the performance for 5 minutes would have allowed those who had to wait in very long lines the opportunity to see the show they paid for.īeautiful Theater! If you love to go see shows and you live the same distance from Boston as you do from Providence then you should give this theater a chance because tickets are cheaper and its cheaper to park. Not very classy of the Opera House Management. Disappointed little girls had to wait out the first song. Seems silly, in this age of technology, to start a show when you have almost 100 women who did not make it back for the start of the second half, and that was only on our tier. This doesnt make for a very pleasant ACT 2.įor the price of the tickets they should ensure they leave enough time for women to use the restroom during intermission. During a 15-20 minute intermission, I was unable to go to the ladies room. My only problem was that there are not enough rest rooms. These seats were much more comfortable and had plenty of leg room in front. Weve been to the Colonial Theater and sat through numerous productions while jammed into tiny seats. Our seats were in the dress circle and were very comfortable. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The Boston Opera House is beautiful and Ive seen many shows there, most recently Wicked. You will enjoy it very much as I have for so many years. I highly recommend it to go with your family. Every time I go to this theater I enjoy it. I was there about four months ago with my wife and my daughters. I have been in this theater from the seventies with my high school to watch many shows. The veiw is great from any angel you sit. You can enjoy the show from anywhere you sit. It is very relaxing with great accustics. It is a great building with great art work on the walls. The "old" stuff in keeping with the truth present in the building itself points to God. Some of the half backed "newish" stuff that is performed in this theater is good for a good laugh. It is not something you can put aside and live without. It does not simply interpret the world like painting, film, or photographys surface. Revolutions are only good when they are full and come back to the dawn. They have architecture which proves that the old way was not the way of darkness and therefore the "new way" is only truly revolutionary when it come full circle.
